Soul Fest in New Orleans

Peace and greetings in the name of the most high, the creator of us all!
Welcome to my maiden voyage on the ether. Thanks to Ms. Gina we can now express our personal yet universal stories.
As I am fond of saying, "We are all connected energy and no energy is EVER lost."
Our travels take us to many places and allow us to meet many wonderful people. This week, I'm back in New Orleans for Soul Fest at Audubon Zoo. It was a very intimate, family oriented setting with culture of New Orleans in the mix for the seasoning.
Headliner for the musical portion was Jazz standout Najee(pictured here). We admired each others' artistry. He got a clarinet pin which is one of the instruments he plays. He was excited and said he would be wearing it to a formal event to promote the release of his new CD "Rising Sun."
On another note, we reconnected with Lonnie, one of our Soul Fest customers.  I love when people come back and tell me that they appreciate the time, spirit, and art that they received when we crossed paths. But this was not All about the past, Ms. Lonnie was on a "Soul fest" mission!
Her innermost was drawn to an ankh ring. The ring was the sort of  statement ring which one wears on the index finger. The generous amount of silver was bezel set with an equally powerful piece of ivory. The ivory was important because I had received it from a fellow designer for  whom I had done a favor. LOVE is the highest frequency on the planet! When we come out of that Love everything is possible. Lonnie said she felt a healing and nurturing energy when she wore it. ENJOY Lonnie!
Peace and Blessings to you all,
ChetA

Peace and greetings from our northern village of South Holland. Great to see your blog and to hear of your success at New Orleans Soul Fest still recovering from Katrina. Would love to see more pictures at other venues and your lovingly, beautifully and creatively designed meaningful silver jewelry.

I love your look, the website has provided me with beautiful sreensaver photos. I am interested in your "Storm within" concept, I will be purchasing the cuff links soon. My storm is a confusion as to how easily mankind gives up its birth rites; how we lose courage and fall into fear when difficult times are near. A country-a world sits in fear of doing what is ethical and moral concerning education, healthcare, racial bias, and the struggle for power over our fellow human beings. We will stand by and allow legislatures, councils, and Congresses to vilify state assistance to those in need, yet we finance corporate greed and selected warfare. We allow people from outside the community to develop and set the design of how the businesses, schools, institutions, and entertainment will look in our community. We have become sheep. Until, the Obama phenomenon, we were asleep. as a united voice. I see the answer to sustaining this awareness in the direct development of our spiritual growth. We gain strength, courage, and a vision of life beyond our small existence. We stand for something so as not to fall for everything. Your "storm within" is a reminder that I live by faith and not by sight; and yet, my faith without works, is useless. Thanks for the piece.
